Since we are reading about the Iranian Revolution right now, I found some pictures which were taken at the time of the revolution. Even though we know about the revolution and how it started already,
this gallery still shows us why and how it happened.
Thanks for posting this! It was nice to see an outside view of what happened in Iran. Although Satrapi gives a pretty good summary of what happened, I still didn't fully understand what was happening at times because I had so little prior knowledge of the Iranian Revolution.
ReplyDeleteI'd be interested in how the publication or general accessibility of these photos affected the movement, seeing as images tend to catalyze revolutions. We learned a little about it through Marjane's father, but that was mostly the beginning of the revolution.
