Gay Marriage in Illinios

I don't know if all of you have heard the news yet, but Illinois will be the 15th state to legalize gay marriage! The bill passed yesterday (Tuesday) and the governor is going to sign it. This article has lots more information if you're interested in learning more about the politics behind it.

    This is always happy news! One quote that stuck out to me from the article is, "Polls show support for gay marriage has surged since 1996, when Gallup found that 27 percent of Americans backed it. Now Gallup finds the majority support giving gay and lesbian couples the right to marry." I hope news like this keeps arising, and that more and more people start supporting gay and lesbian rights.
